Our Pastor

Elder James H. Plummer, Sr., Senior Pastor

“But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ” Ephesians 4:7

Born a third generation Pentecostal, James H. Plummer was saved in 1978, although he was baptized at an earlier age in the name of Jesus. Blessed with a keen memory and an ardent quest for the knowledge of God, Elder Plummer realized after he received the Holy Spirit that God had been dealing with him in preparation for ministry of the Word prior to being spirit filled. It was during his Junior college studies in California and military tour in the Air Force that God inspired him with an insatiable desire to study God’s Word daily.

Upon returning to the East Coast, Elder Plummer began to incessantly seek after God. Two years after receiving the Holy Ghost and understanding the call of God, Elder Plummer responded to God’s call and enrolled in Aenon Ministerial Correspondence course to further his understanding of the apostolic doctrine and gain knowledge in the Word of God. However, with the correspondence course not having the capability to enrich through classroom dialogue, Elder Plummer entered into the four-year Pastoral and Counseling undergraduate studies at Washington Bible College/Capital Bible Seminary to yet further his knowledge of God’s Word.

Elder Plummer’s keen desire and willingness to transmit the revelation of God by education has been the source of his development into an anointed and diligent teacher and preacher. As a visionary he foresees the church as the only self-sustaining entity in a failing world and prepares God’s people for stability through the impartation of God’s word. Elder Plummer believes that only the knowledge of God’s Word can equip saints with the power to resist subjugation to spiritual failure in this world.

Elder Plummer has served as assistant pastor to his father, District Elder Charlie Plummer prior to receiving the mantle of Senior Pastor of the True Apostolic Church & Youth World Ministries Center in Brentwood, MD. Elder Plummer served in the DC, DEL and MD District Council, P.A.W. Inc. as a teacher in the School of Homiletics and as President of the Brotherhood Auxiliary.

Since being saved, Elder Plummer has operated as CEO of his own corporation in contracts for federal and state governments and the private sector. He currently serves as an electrical VP and consultant of an electrical firm in Maryland. However, next to receiving the Holy Ghost and being called to the ministry is Elder Plummer’s covey of pride; namely, his wife, Lady Patricia, three daughters; Evangelist Janah, Minister Janelle (Minister Troy Awls) and Jacquia and two sons James Jr. (Dominique), and Jamal. He has five grandchildren, Taylor Jadeyn, Tyler Jordan Awls and Parker James Plummer, Blake Lenay Plummer and Skylyn Plummer. Each of whom has been graced by God with talents and gifts in the ministry. Elder Plummer married Patricia in 1981 and is a dedicated and devoted husband and father.
